When I was in Bangkok markets were abundant and showed how much they impact Asian culture. None bigger than the Chatuchak weekend market. It was so big you could easily get lost through the maze of stalls and different smells of food and spices.
At one point in my visit, we started hearing music and came to a huge stall selling paella and manned by a DJ. It was a lot of fun and full of positivity. I think especially in urban areas, this is the kind of stuff that improves character and colour.
