Indie cinema

The projector is a crowdfunded indie cinema that has been a cool place to hang out, and indulge in nostalgia. The space has responded to the zeitgeist of the hyper competitive Singapore environment in a very unique almost rebellious way. All through the pandemic the space has constantly reinvented itself, popping up in an abandoned night club to create the only socially distanced cinema where seats were paired and spaced apart to meet COVID restrictions, used silent disco style headphones but kept going! The creative and innovative way the space has evolved has been a source of inspiration and continues to be the place I go to for an escape, and journey into the screen across time and far away worlds with good people in spite of living on a tiny island nation that is Singapore.
