My family and I moved into a village house two years ago, after several years in grouped housing and personnaly around 30 years in a city.

We’ve found our feet here, thanks in particular to the village media library, which has quickly become our favourite place and headquarters! We found everything we needed to indulge our passion for comic books, a whole host of activities for children, and above all exceptional contact with the staff who made us feel right at home.

I always used to go to my local media library when I was young, and I’m delighted to be able to repeat that experience in my adult life, with my children.

We’d got into the habit of going there every Saturday morning for the readings, and for almost all the creative discovery activities with speakers, as well as for shows and cinema screenings… So much so that when the local journalist asked the librarian if she had any names of newcomers who were media library aficionados, she gave my name and I got my portrait in the village newspaper!

We go there a little less often now, as my daughter is less keen on reading to the very young, but we have a real bond, and meet up regularly like old friends. I can’t thank them enough for adopting me and my children to this place.
